In the plains and hills of Huangtong Township, Lingao County, a river suddenly disappears into an ancient banyan grove, forming a waterfall underground. Hidden at the base of a cliff, this “underground waterfall” remains little known.

This waterfall is hidden among the plains and hills of Huangtong Township, Lingao County. It was formed when a river of moderate size suddenly encountered a fault line and plunged into a deep ravine. As to when it was formed, there is no definitive record to date. It is called the Guyin Waterfall, though people commonly refer to it as the “underground waterfall.”
