Liberation Park at Lingao Cape is located in the northwest of Lingao County. Completed in April 2007, it covers an area of 260 acres and is divided into six major zones: the Blood Memorial Area for the Liberation of Hainan, the Exhibition Hall and Memorial Hall Area, the Liberation of Hainan Square, the Sea-view Pavilion, the Conference Center, and the Leisure and Holiday Center.

The park features a coastal cultural corridor, an expanded activity green space square, reconstructed exhibition and memorial halls, and is equipped with multimedia video machines that recreate the scene of the Chinese People's Liberation Army's bold seaborne campaign to liberate Hainan. It also includes the construction of the Sea-view Pavilion, a multifunctional conference building, and leisure holiday hotels, along with supporting marine entertainment facilities and coastal tourism programs.

Liberation Park at Lingao Cape is a patriotic education base and red tourism cultural destination integrating education, exhibitions, sightseeing, and leisure. Following its completion, it will become a key patriotic education base and advanced education site in Hainan.

The Lingao Cape Liberation of Hainan Monument was established in October 1996. Covering a land area of 10 acres with a building area of 1,580 square meters, it mainly consists of the “Liberation of Hainan Monument” and the “Multimedia Demonstration Center.” The monument stands 18 meters tall and is built from granite, perched on the rocky shore of Lingao Cape. In the statue, a PLA soldier crossing the sea holds a rifle high, symbolizing the successful completion of the mission; a Qiongya Column soldier raises a red flag, representing the heroic 23-year struggle of the Qiongya Revolution where the red flag never fell. On the front of the monument’s base is an inscription by the President of China: “The army and the people together forged a blood memorial; the achievements of liberating Hainan will last forever.” The back provides an introduction to the Battle of Liberating Hainan Island. The Multimedia Demonstration Center spans 1,100 square meters and is divided into an exhibition hall and a holographic imaging hall. The exhibition hall primarily displays film and video materials related to the PLA’s seaborne operations, as well as physical exhibits, while also showcasing the glorious 23-year history of the Qiongya Revolution where the red flag never fell. The holographic imaging, through advanced technology, depicts the moving scenes of the Qiongya Column supporting the PLA’s seaborne campaign on the eve of Hainan’s liberation.
