Wenlan Cultural Park

Lin'gao Wenlan Cultural Park is located in Lin'gao County, Hainan Province, situated by the Wenlan River and at the heart of the new town. The planned area extends from Wenlan Avenue in the south to Jinlan Avenue in the north, from the eastern bank of the Wenlan River in the east to Municipal Avenue in the west. The entire park spans approximately 1,200 meters from east to west and about 2,000 meters from north to south. Within the park is a 2-kilometer-long memorial archway engraved with classic couplets from five thousand years of Chinese history, along with 75 World History Columns and 75 Chinese History Columns. The park will also feature one Aloha Square, one Lili Mei Square, a reconstructed Lin'gao Ancient City, and a Lin'gao Planning Exhibition Hall. Additionally, an area of three to four hundred acres of water surface will be developed into a water recreation center, making it the largest cultural and ecological park in the province and a landmark and “calling card” for Lin'gao.

The park is divided into three major scenic areas and twelve functional zones: the Cultural & Educational Zone, the Leisure & Entertainment Zone, and the Ecological Experience Zone, as well as twelve functional areas including Archway Narratives, Historical Corridor, Happiness Square, Life as Performance, Contentment by the Water, Happy Times, Sunset Glow, Fishermen’s Song at Dusk, Enchantment of Wenlan, Timeless Glory, Mirror of the Silver Lake, and Waves by the Hundred-Ren Cliff.
