Chengmai County has a marine area of 1,100 square kilometers and a coastline of 89.8 kilometers (including inland seas). Chengmai Bay is situated in the northern bay area of Chengmai County, extending from Yubao Port in the west to Tianwei Cape in Haikou City in the east, with a bay area of about 125 square kilometers. The bay features fine, white sandy shores, azure blue waters, and a picturesque natural environment. It serves as a prime tourist destination for yacht marinas, marine sports, and leisure activities.

Chengmai Old Town: Located in the northern part of Chengmai County and adjacent to the provincial capital Haikou, Chengmai Old Town covers a total land area of 259.99 square kilometers. It comprises 18 village (residential) committees, 76 natural villages, and has a total population of 62,556. The town’s total arable land area is 35,654 mu. It is home to the province’s largest and earliest-developed Chengmai Development Zone. To the east lies the Yuehai Railway Logistics Center, to the west the national first-class port cluster of Macun Harbor, to the north the tourist resort of Yingbin Resort and Bianwan Bathing Beach, and to the south the Meiting Fruit and Vegetable Wholesale Market of the county. Both the Western Ring Expressway and Yuehai Railway run through the area.
