Yongqing Temple was originally built during the Northern Song Dynasty and was one of the ancient "Eight Scenic Spots of Chengmai," renowned as a sacred Zen Buddhist site in Hainan’s history. Yongqing Temple was originally built during the Northern Song Dynasty and was one of the ancient "Eight Scenic Spots of Chengmai," renowned as a sacred Zen Buddhist site in Hainan’s history. The reconstructed Yongqing Temple is located on the western side of Yingbin Peninsula in Chengmai’s Old City Economic Development Zone, surrounded by the sea on three sides. It is currently the largest Buddhist temple in northern Hainan, forming part of Hainan’s Buddhist landscape of “Nanshan Temple in the south and Yongqing Temple in the north.” The resort area also offers marine recreational activities such as jet skiing, and hosts several high-end star-rated hotels.

Transportation: 1) Bus: Haikou Tourist Line 6; or take a taxi directly from Haikou. 2) Self-drive: Travel west along Haikou Binhai Avenue to the end; or take Haikou Nanhai Avenue westward, then turn right at the outer intersection of Old City, Chengmai.
