Maplewood Deer Farm is located in Fengmu Town, Tuncheng County, at the 110-kilometer mark of the Hainan–Yulin Central Highway, about 27 kilometers from Tuncheng County.

Maplewood Deer Farm is one of the larger comprehensive deer farms in southern China, covering an area of over 200 acres. The farm is home to more than 700 deer, including Eld’s deer, sambar deer, red deer, sika deer, fallow deer, and spotted deer, all living in this idyllic land where swaying coconut groves and lush grasslands thrive.

At Maplewood Deer Farm, visitors can purchase sweet potato chips to feed the deer and enjoy an interactive experience, or even take a photo while holding a gentle deer. The farm has recently added attractions such as the Deer Viewing Garden, Deer Fun Park, as well as a restaurant and souvenir shop. There is also a deer product processing factory on-site. Visitors can purchase a range of health and beauty products made from deer-derived ingredients, such as anti-aging deer cosmetics, health-boosting deer antler slices, deer antler glue, antler blood wine, deer penis wine, deer bone glue, deer placenta paste, dried venison, and deer sinew—all reasonably priced.

Tips:

1. Although the farm covers a large area, the designated section where visitors can observe the sika deer is just a small hill. Sika deer shed their fur in winter, so their iconic white spots are not very visible during that season—they regrow in spring.

2. Deer antlers are typically harvested around the Qingming Festival (Tomb-Sweeping Day).
