Piled Silk Hill Gate

Located in front of the Yangzhi Hall at Piled Silk Hill, this is an antique-style building with a sloped roof and blue tiles, perched at the strategic gateway to the Wind Cave, accessible via stone steps. The gate features a horizontal plaque inscribed with the characters for “Piled Silk Hill” in clerical script by Wei Jichang; on both sides hang a couplet reading “Enter a realm of cool serenity, and let joy arise in your heart,” composed by Zhang Xianghe, Qing Dynasty Governor of Guangxi, and calligraphed by Wu Chundao, a renowned Guilin calligrapher. Once past the gate, you enter a destination where historical relics, religious culture, and natural scenery blend seamlessly.
