Diecai Taiji Cave

Located on the mountainside of Mingyue Peak, the southern entrance is in the southwest corner of Beiyu Cave, while the northern entrance faces the hiking trail entrance, shaped like a curved tube. Inside the cave, stone pillars divide the space, strikingly resembling the yin and yang fish of the taiji (yin-yang) symbol. The cave entrance is 4.2 meters wide, 3 meters high, 3–4 meters wide, and 13 meters long, covering an area of about 50 square meters. The three characters “Taiji Cave” are carved above the northern entrance. Winding from one end to the other, the cave has low visibility. The northern entrance is large and open, allowing light to penetrate to the bends, making the cave scenery faintly visible; the southern entrance, located within Beiyu Cave, is small and hidden, with weak lighting, giving a pitch-dark feeling upon first entry. Spiral upwards from the southern entrance and exit through the northern one, and you’ll gradually emerge into the light; enter from the northern entrance, exit through the southern one, and arrive at Beiyu Cave, where cool breezes blow and inscriptions abound, as if entering a fairyland.
