Shangfeng Temple of the Goddess is located within the courtyard of the Shangfeng Village Committee in Shangfeng Village, Nianzhang Town, 15 kilometers north of Xia County County Town. It was originally built in the third year of the Yuan Dynasty’s Yan reign (1316). The temple faces south and currently has one Hall of the Goddess, one side hall, and one incense pavilion. The Hall of the Goddess is a Yuan Dynasty structure, the incense pavilion is from the Ming Dynasty, and the side hall was built during the Qing Dynasty.

The Hall of the Goddess is three bays wide and four rafters deep, with a single-eave, hanging gable roof. The central bay columns are octagonal, with scrolled bases, and the bracket sets on top feature interlocking arms. The secondary bays have diagonal ang elements inclined at a 5° angle, while the side bays lack intercolumnar bracket sets. The roof beams above the secondary bays are supported by bracket arms extending from the main ridge, and large bracket complexes are installed above the purlins. The ridge purlin is supported by multiple layers of bracket arms. The front eave rafters are adorned with delicate carvings. The rafters on the main ridge feature alternating patterns of peonies, auspicious phoenixes, and boys, while the other ridge beasts are consistent with those on the main pavilion. The side hall is one bay wide and four rafters deep, with a single-eave, hanging gable roof. Its construction is relatively modest and it is a Qing Dynasty building.

In May 2013, Shangfeng Temple of the Goddess was announced as part of the Seventh Batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.

Shangfeng Village: Shangfeng Village is located at the northern end of Xia County, along the front mountain area of Nianzhang Town, with the Xiahou Highway passing through the village. It currently has 3,460 mu of land, including 3,190 mu of arable land. Agricultural production is mainly grain-based. In recent years, following industrial restructuring, the village has developed 260 mu of solar greenhouse vegetable facilities and 300 mu of summer-planted scallions.

The village is divided into six villager groups, with 360 households, a population of 1,338, 730 laborers, and 42 current Party members.
