Era: Zhou Dynasty

Location: 2.5 km north of Ruicheng County Town

The ancient Wei City stretches 1.5 km from east to west and 1.3 km from north to south. The remaining northern city wall is 1,500 meters long, 4–7 meters wide, and 7 meters high. The rammed earth pits have a diameter of 6 cm.

The city wall was built using the board-pounding technique. The southeast, northwest, and northeast corners of the ancient city are relatively well-preserved, and crescent-shaped rammed earth platforms exist on the outer side of the city walls. Artifacts from the Eastern Zhou period such as southern-style vessels, dou (food containers), jars, and tiles have been unearthed within the city. To the west of the city, in Chaijian Village, there is a cluster of tombs dating from the late Western Zhou to the early Spring and Autumn period, where several batches of bronze ware have been excavated. In May 2013, it was announced by the State Council as part of the seventh batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
