Jinshengzhuang Site is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Jinshengzhuang Site

Era: Neolithic

Location: 50 meters west of Jinshengzhuang Village, Dawang Township, Ruicheng County

It lies north against the Zhongtiao Mountain and south beside the Yellow River, stretching about 3,000 meters from north to south and 600 meters from east to west. The cultural layer is 1–3 meters thick, with three layers of white lime plaster surfaces exposed in cross-section, spaced 7–14 centimeters apart. A large number of painted pottery, red pottery, and sand-tempered pottery shards are exposed on the ground. Artifacts collected include fragments of pointed-bottom bottles, bowls, basins, jars, beans (dou), and li (tripod cauldrons). In 1987, a complete painted pottery curved-body jar was unearthed. The decorative patterns include circular-dot arc-triangle motifs, cord marks, incised lines, and added clay bands. Stone axes, stone knives, and stone spades were also collected. The site belongs to the Yangshao Miaodigou type culture and is well-preserved.

In May 2013, it was announced by the State Council as part of the seventh batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
