The Memorial Hall of the Hengxian Meeting of the Guangxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party is a classic red tourism destination and a patriotic education base.

The Memorial Hall of the Hengxian Meeting of the Guangxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party is located in Hengzhou Park, Hengxian County, Nanning City.

From April 7 to 14, 1947, Qian Xing, Secretary of the Guangxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, presided over a meeting of key party cadres from across Guangxi (commonly referred to as the “Hengxian Meeting”) in Liuxiu Village, Taoxu Township, Hengxian. The meeting formulated the overall policy and mission of “actively preparing for armed uprisings, widely launching guerrilla warfare, establishing guerrilla bases, overthrowing the reactionary regime, and creating new liberated areas,” and made specific arrangements for armed uprisings throughout the province. This meeting marked the beginning of comprehensive armed struggle in Guangxi. Subsequently, party organizations in various regions organized uprisings involving more than 6,500 people across 21 counties in seven regions: eastern Guangxi, northern Guangxi, the Zuo River area, the You River area, central-southern Guangxi, central Guangxi, and southern Guangxi. To commemorate this historically significant meeting and promote the revolutionary spirit of the predecessors, in 1987, the People’s Government of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the People’s Government of Hengxian County allocated funds to build the “Memorial Hall of the Hengxian Meeting of the Guangxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party” within Hengzhou Park in Hengxian.

In 2007, the Hengxian County Government invested 1.8 million yuan to rebuild a new hall with a floor area of 1,800 square meters on the original site of the old hall. Currently, the exhibits, materials, and cultural relics in the memorial hall are well preserved, and there are usually two staff members responsible for its management.

In November 2005, the Memorial Hall of the Hengxian Meeting of the Guangxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party was designated as a patriotic education base in Hengxian County. In September 2009, it was designated as a patriotic education base in Nanning City.
