The Tomb of Huang Shan-zhang is located near Mingjiang Airport. It is the mausoleum of Huang Shan-zhang, the first native official of Yongping Stockade (now the Ningming area) during the Northern Song Dynasty, and is a provincial-level key cultural relics protection unit.

The Tomb of Huang Shan-zhang is a microcosm of the Tusi system in Guangxi during the Song Dynasty. Guangxi’s Tusi culture is often referred to as “ancestral halls in the north and tombs in the south.” The “ancestral halls in the north” refer to the Mo clan Tusi ancestral hall in Qicheng County, while the “tombs in the south” refer to the “Tomb of Huang Shan-zhang” in Ningming County.

The tomb complex is grand in scale, the largest among Tusi tombs in Guangxi. It originally featured a spirit way, ornamental columns, a ceremonial gate, stone lions, stone horses, stone sheep, and stone figures (distinguished between civil and military officials), among other relics. The site is rich in cultural artifacts of extremely high value. The stone sculptures remaining in the Huang Shan-zhang Tomb complex are primitive in design and unique in style, possessing significant historical and artistic value. Historians have referred to them as the “Terracotta Army” of the Zhuang people.
