The Dragon Gorge Mountain Rock Paintings are located about 400 meters southeast of Tuohetun Village, Zhulian Village, Chengzhong Town, Ningming County. They were created during the Warring States period to the Eastern Han Dynasty. The rock paintings are divided into two sites. The first site is on the southwestern cliff of Dragon Gorge Mountain, approximately 100 meters from the Ming River. The paintings are about 65 meters above the ground, covering an area of around 20 square meters, with 12 images visible—6 of them relatively intact, all depicting side-view human figures. The second site is on the western cliff of Dragon Gorge Mountain facing the river. The paintings are about 60 meters above the ground, featuring 50 images in total: 44 human figures, 3 animal images, 2 bronze drum images, and 1 boat image. In 2014, they were designated as a key cultural relic protection unit of the autonomous region.
