The Balin Farmstead farmhouse is located in Fengyang Village, Xiajia Township, Lingyun County, 6 km from the Xiajia Township government and 16 km from Lingyun County town. The entire estate covers an area of 368 acres, with a forest coverage rate of 98.5%. It is a garden-style manor that integrates planting, breeding, processing, brewing, tourism and leisure, culture and art, as well as dining and accommodation. Natural attractions include a 360-acre economic orchard, pig farm, chicken farm, fish pond, pastoral scenery, and a premium fruit and flower garden. Cultural features include: farmhouse meals, the Balin Duge Festival, the Balin Yearly Pig Feast, the Balin Calligraphy and Painting Art Corridor, the Balin Poetry and Calligraphy Garden, the Balin Poetry Society, the Balin Photography Salon, jungle combat experiences, the Balin Maze, fishing at Balin, and Balin plum wine, among other service offerings. The estate includes 15 buildings with 90 rooms in total — 30 rooms for living and 60 for breeding. There are 8 guesthouse rooms with 10 beds in total; a dining area with 160 seats, including 10 private rooms that can accommodate up to 160 people simultaneously; and a parking lot that can hold 100 vehicles.

Since opening in 1992, over the past 23 years, the farmhouse has welcomed more than 1.5 million domestic and international visitors, generating tourism revenue of over 9 million yuan.
