Tusi Tombs Cluster

The Tusi Tombs Cluster is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Tusi Tombs Cluster is located about 2 kilometers from the Jiuzhou Scenic Area. It consists of the burial mounds of Tusi officials from the Gualiu Tusi State during the Ming Dynasty, including Cen Jin and Cen Langguan, as well as their family members. The tombs are dome-shaped with convex tops, constructed by compacting a mixture of lime and sandy soil. They are inlaid with stone slabs and feature exquisitely crafted bas-relief carvings of animals and plants such as dragons, phoenixes, qilins (Chinese unicorns), fish, celestial dogs, and floral patterns. The tombs are generally of similar height—2.5 meters tall with a diameter of 3.2 meters. Each tomb is fronted by a stone altar, stone steps, stone ceremonial pillars, three long and two short stone drums, and stone qilins. It is a key cultural relic protection unit of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
