Erlang Scenic Area

The Jingxi Erlang Waterfall is located 20 kilometers south of Jingxi City, Baise, Guangxi, 3 kilometers from the Jiuren Highway and 2 kilometers from the China-Vietnam border highway, making it extremely accessible. The scenic area is situated in a mountainous region, characterized mostly by karst landforms. The NanTan River flows in from the west, with a riverbed 40–80 meters wide. The water is clear and flows year-round, featuring natural drops. Fifty meters to the east of the scenic area lies a multi-tiered waterfall cluster known as the Dragon Gate Waterfalls. Above the falls stands an ancient-style Dragon Gate stone arch bridge, renowned for its classic elegance and often described as picturesque with its small bridge over flowing water. Upstream from the bridge, the river widens, dotted with several small, picturesque islands. Two of them strikingly resemble carp leaping over the Dragon Gate. Lining both banks are towering ancient trees and dense forests, creating a serene environment. This scenic area combines waterfalls, small bridges, flowing streams, caves, and ancient trees into one, forming a newly developed site of breathtaking beauty and fairy-tale charm. It offers a variety of tourism activities such as leisure, vacationing, sightseeing, and exploration.
