Dongbai Mountain is located in the central part of Zhejiang Province, within Hulv Town, Dongyang City. It is the main peak of the Kuaiji Mountain Range and also the highest peak in Dongyang City. To the north, it borders Zhuji City, and to the east, it connects with Shengzhou City. It is one of the seven famous mountains in Zhejiang Province and the foremost among the notable mountains in Dongyang. The main peak was historically called "Taibai" and stands at an elevation of 1,194.7 meters. Its majestic presence presents a spectacular wonder of the southeast. It can be considered the most imposing of the mountains in eastern Zhejiang. Legend has it that the great Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai once climbed this mountain, hence it is also known as "Taibai Mountain."

Dongbai Mountain, endowed with extraordinary natural beauty, has been renowned throughout history. Within the mountain, there are lush bamboo forests and tall trees that provide ample shade and cool breezes. As a result, even during the peak of summer, visitors do not feel the heat, making it one of the top summer retreats in eastern Zhejiang. In recent years, with the construction of roads, the development of summer resorts, and the introduction of mineral water sources, the mountain has seen a continuous stream of tourists visiting to escape the heat every summer. Dongbai Mountain is abundant in famous teas and medicinal herbs, fragrant and lush all year round. The renowned "Dongbai Spring Sprout" tea is the mountain’s misty tea, listed in tea compendiums. Medicinal plants such as goji berries, poria cocos, and calamus are recorded in the "Agricultural Classics." Beside the main peak of Dongbai Mountain are two peaks, Huli and Hulv, standing opposite each other. At the summit of the main peak, there is a stone mortar that remains dry throughout the year but gushes water during droughts. Even if a thousand people drink from it, the flow never ceases. Therefore, people often come here to pray for rain, referring to the stone mortar as the "Jade Maiden Spring."
