Yangzhou West Suburb Forest Park is surrounded by endless stretches of forest, presenting a lush green landscape as far as the eye can see. Crossing over a hill, you’ll find a clear, blue-green pond nestled among verdant mountains, where birds sing and flowers bloom. This is Bailong Pool. Amidst the blue sky and clear waters, wild ducks leisurely splash and fly; beside the green hills and grassy fields, white sheep stroll and graze in ease. Boating on Bailong Pool feels like escaping from the hustle and bustle, as if you’ve stepped into a peach blossom garden.

Located in the central and rear mountainous area of Yizheng, Yangzhou West Suburb Forest Park features undulating terrain. Large areas of hills and slopes mostly lie fallow, with only a small portion used to grow dryland crops. Since being approved as a forest park by the provincial agriculture and forestry department in 1999, the local government has adapted to local conditions and integrated agricultural restructuring efforts by planting extensive tea gardens and bamboo forests at the foot of Baiyang Mountain, creating a favorable ecological environment. At the same time, promoting the slogan “birds singing, flowers blooming, blue skies and green waters,” it has attracted domestic and overseas investment with the goal of building the West Suburb Forest Park into a tourist destination that combines sightseeing, vacationing, sports, and leisure. The park centers around Baiyang Mountain and Mayi Mountain, and has already established facilities such as a golf water training ground and tennis courts. It is set to become a multifunctional recreational area offering agricultural sightseeing, sports fitness, forest tourism, and leisure vacationing.

The forest park is 9 kilometers east of the soon-to-be-completed Yangzhou Railway Station, and can be directly accessed by taking Bus No. 13 from downtown to the foot of the mountain. With an elevation of 64 meters, Baiyang Mountain is the only mountainous area around Yangzhou. Its excellent environment and location have attracted interest from several capable investors. Once fully developed, Yangzhou West Suburb Forest Park will form a green corridor together with Qujiang Park in the eastern part of Yangzhou, Runyang Forest Park in the south, Shugang West Peak in the north, and other greenbelts, recreating the lush scenery of the "Green City of Willow."

This is the largest forest park in northern Jiangsu — featuring rolling terrain, dense forests, birdsong, floral fragrance, blue skies, and clear waters. After years of development, it has initially established natural landscapes such as the Baiyang Mountain foothills, shaded woods, the deep Bailong Pool, and the Baiyang Tea Garden; cultural attractions including rural charm and ancient temple bells; recreational and fitness facilities such as a golf training ground, tennis courts, and a water park; as well as supporting services like parking lots and specialty dining areas. It has become an ideal destination for urban residents to travel, sightsee, and enjoy leisure vacations.
