Yuehu Lake Scenic Area is situated in Yuetai Township, north of Yizheng City. It lies 20 kilometers east of Yangzhou and is accessible via direct bus on Provincial Highway Yangye Line. It is also over 20 kilometers from downtown Yizheng, with rural bus connections available. The scenic area encompasses over 6,000 acres of water surface, features a pristine ecological environment, rich aquatic resources, and offers attractions including: Leshui Bay, Longshan Treasure Hunt, Peninsula Tea House, Rainflower Stone Street, and Tiebajhong Agricultural Sightseeing Demonstration Park. It is a comprehensive tourist resort integrating sightseeing, entertainment, and leisure.

Located in the northwest of Yizheng, Yuehu Lake is the largest artificial lake in the Yangzhou region, covering an area of more than 6,000 acres. With clear water, a superior ecological environment, abundant aquatic products, and numerous wild birds, it is a natural haven.

The Yuetang Tourism Development Company, primarily invested by Zhejiang West Grand Canyon, has re-engaged in the tourism development of Yuehu Lake. The first phase has seen an investment of 15 million yuan, developing three key attractions along the 16-kilometer lakeside: Leshui Bay, Yuehu Island, and Longshan Treasure Hunt Zone. These form a “three points, one loop” touring model, offering visitors opportunities for sightseeing, exploration, and leisure.

Leshui Bay Scenic Area: Covering an area of over 250 acres, it is divided into six major themed play zones: the Tangram Amusement Park, Astronomy Garden, Wisdom Story City, Seven Bridges Plaza, Water & Dry Slides, and the Boat Dock.

Sandy Beach Bathing Area: Primarily composed of a sandy beach bath zone, it is the largest artificial sandy beach bathing area in the province. It used 7,500 tons of yellow sand and 5,000 tons of pebbles, featuring a 15,000-square-meter sandy beach area and a 5,000-square-meter pebble beach area. The sandy beach is suitable for swimming and sunbathing, while the pebble beach allows visitors to search for rainflower stones and provides a foot massage effect. The bathing area can accommodate up to 2,000 swimmers at once. In addition to swimming, visitors can also enjoy thrilling water sports such as water skiing, surfing, and wakeboarding.

Longshan Treasure Hunt Scenic Area: Longshan is the highest point along the shores of Yuehu Lake and the only area with stone mining resources. Rainflower stones are among the world’s most unique stones, with their main production area located in Yuetai Township, Yizheng. Products are sold globally, and almost all high-quality rainflower stones found in Nanjing markets originate here. Longshan Treasure Hunt takes rainflower stones as the thematic focus. The area includes attractions such as the "Rainflower Stone Mine," "Rainflower Stone Pit," "Rainflower Maiden Statue," "Rainflower Stone Pawnshop," and "Nine Dragons Wall." The Rainflower Stone Discovery Zone has a dedicated sand and stone field where visitors can search for rainflower stones, experiencing the joy of treasure hunting firsthand. The newly built Rainflower Stone Street offers a colorful variety of stones for purchase, with opportunities to observe processes like polishing, grinding, and packaging on-site. The Rainflower Stone Exhibition Room displays exquisite, multicolored premium rainflower stones for visitors to admire.

The island’s tea plantation is surrounded by water on three sides, enjoys clean air and a moist climate. The "Yuehu" brand tea produced here is pollution-free, featuring tender green leaves, clear infusion, fragrant aroma, refreshing taste, and mellow flavor. In 2001, it won the National "China Tea Cup" Grand Prize, and in 2002, it received national "Green Food" certification. Visitors can participate in on-site tea picking, processing, and brewing, fully immersing themselves in the experience of harvesting and drinking their own tea. The plantation also offers distinctive local tea ceremonies, allowing visitors to appreciate the profound richness of Chinese tea culture while sipping tea.

Currently, Yuehu Lake Scenic Area has formed a new agritourism model of “visiting Yuehu Lake, tasting Yuehu tea, admiring rainflower stones, and enjoying farm-style meals,” attracting a large number of tourists.

The entrance ticket to Yuehu Lake Scenic Area is 36 yuan per person, which can be purchased at the reception hall ticket office. Additional tickets are required for activities within the scenic area, such as taking a boat to the next attraction for 10 yuan per person, while other recreational activities range from 5 to 45 yuan per person.
