Dafeng Song Scenic Area

Dafeng Song Scenic Area is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

A national AA-level tourist attraction, located on the south side of Peigong Road in the Xincheng District and the north side of Hanxin Road. Designed by the Beijing Tsinghua Urban Planning & Design Institute, it covers a total area of 26.7 hectares. The scenic area is divided from south to north into three sections: the square rest area and activity zone of the Creative Pavilion, the forest leisure area of “Drinking Water with Gratitude for Its Source,” and the water landscape appreciation area of “Embracing All Rivers.” These correspond respectively to the lines from Emperor Gaozu Liu Bang’s poem “Dafeng Song” (Song of the Great Wind): “The great wind rises, and the clouds fly high,” “My might extends across the land, and I’ve returned to my homeland,” and “Where can I find brave men to guard the four corners?” The scenic area features an embedded calligraphy work of Chairman Mao Zedong’s handwritten “Dafeng Song,” which is a major highlight.
