People's Park is located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Huaihai West Road and Textile West Road in the western part of Xuzhou city. The plaza covers an area of 22,000 square meters, with 12,000 square meters of lawn and over 170 trees planted, including cedar and privet. The green space of the plaza amounts to 1.4 hectares, with a green coverage rate of 62%, and 8,000 square meters of hard paving. It is a relatively large plaza green space, consisting of a main plaza and two secondary plazas in the west. The main plaza is a sunken fountain plaza, arranged in a circular spatial layout, forming four zones: the main water feature area, the secondary water feature area, the rest area, and the shaded plaza. The main water feature area features a large musical fountain that utilizes recirculating water control technology, enhanced with lighting and sound effects, creating a multi-level fountain display with varying heights and dazzling lights. The secondary water feature area is primarily built around a semi-circular rest flower stand, with winding pathways that offer the best views of the water scenery. The rest area is located at the southwest end of the plaza, in a fan shape, with an 18-meter-wide arc-shaped front green belt that gently slopes down to the edge of the main water feature area.

After renovation, the most prominent feature of the People's Plaza is the transformation from a previously static, lawn-dominated space into a dynamic plaza where water features take center stage, combining both movement and stillness—adding a lively and joyful atmosphere to the area. The green space of the plaza amounts to 1.4 hectares, with a green coverage rate of 62%, and 8,000 square meters of hard paving. The plaza landscaping uses evergreen cedar and privet as a backdrop, with evergreen lawns as the base, interspersed with colorful foliage trees such as ginkgo and maple. The design is simple and bright, offering varying scenery throughout the seasons and brimming with vitality, making it a great spot for citizens to relax.
