Mudun Island Scenic Area — A Red-Lotus Island in the Vast Lake

Mudun Island is located within Ban Cheng Town, Sihong County, covering an area of 1.96 square kilometers. It is the largest island in Hongze Lake. For centuries, despite several major floods, the island has miraculously risen with the water level and remained unscathed. Surrounded by water on all sides, the island enjoys a unique climate that is warm in winter and cool in summer, with beautiful scenery. With lake views and gentle boats, it is an ideal place to get close to nature and unwind, captivating visitors with its charm and making them linger. Currently, facilities such as the Mudun Island Holiday Hotel, property-style apartments, and the island access dock have been completed. Plans are underway for the comprehensive development of ecological and wellness tourism facilities on Mudun Island, with key projects including a lake fishing club and a yacht club. The area will also feature a wellness center, business center, and water sports center, incorporating elements of Buddhist culture and offering a variety of health and entertainment functions.
