Muzhong Island Scenic Area

The Muzhong Island Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Muzhong Island Scenic Area was planned and designed by the Hangzhou Landscape Design Institute—the same firm behind the Xixi Wetland in Hangzhou—according to AAAA-level tourist attraction standards. The cost of preparing the detailed plan was 3.5 million yuan, with a total planned investment of 300 million yuan. Over 100 million yuan has been invested so far, and facilities such as the island boarding terminal waiting hall, eco-friendly parking lot, and viewing platforms have been completed. In the entrance area of the scenic spot, the Mukezhai Wharf, leisure plaza for tourists, and tourist service center have been built. In the conference and resort area, ten property-style apartments totaling 3,000 square meters and a 6,000-square-meter resort hotel have been constructed. Over 3,000 mu of greenery has also been developed in sync. A uniquely styled tourist destination on Hongze Lake is beginning to take shape. The Muzhong Island Resort Hotel is located on the southeast lakeside section of Muzhong Island. It was designed by the Hangzhou Landscape Design Institute according to four-star hotel standards and constructed by Shanghai Haiseng Construction & Installation Engineering Co., Ltd. With a construction area of 6,000 square meters and a total investment of over 30 million yuan, the hotel integrates multiple functions including accommodation, dining, leisure, sightseeing, and conferences. Its architecture is tastefully designed, and its facilities are comprehensive. Guests can not only enjoy the natural scenery of the Muzhong Island Scenic Area but also take in the vast, misty beauty of Hongze Lake.
