Sihong County Museum is a patriotic education base.

Sihong County Museum, Shanhe West Road (south side of Sihong County Stadium), was established in December 1999. The new museum building was completed in 2001, covering an area of 14.6 mu, with a construction area of 3,200 square meters and a total investment of over 5 million yuan.

The museum houses more than 1,000 pieces of relics including stone tools, pottery, porcelain, bronzeware, and revolutionary relics, among which there are over 20 third-grade cultural relics. Featured items include fossils of ancient organisms dating back tens of millions of years from the Miocene geological period, models of Jianghuai Broad-Toothed Ape and Shuangou Drunken Ape, fossils of Sihong mammal dental beds, fossils of Lower Caowan Man from the Paleolithic Age, fossils of Huai River Elephants from the Pleistocene, Han Dynasty pictorial stone carvings, as well as revolutionary relics from the Anti-Japanese War and the Liberation War. In addition, the museum features a 900-square-meter exhibition titled “Flowing Rhymes of Huai and Bian – Ancient Relics of Sihong,” which showcases the ancient civilization of Sihong through five sections: “Parting of Humans and Apes,” “The Splendid History of Xu,” “The Vast —,” “Clear Waves of the Bian River,” and “Unyielding Spirit.”
