The Shunshanjii Site is a national key cultural relic protection unit.

Located southwest of Daxinzhuang in Meihua Town, Sihong County, the Shunshanjii Site is a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit in Jiangsu Province. It was included in the second batch of major archaeological sites in Jiangsu Province in 2013. Situated at the northern foot of Zhonggang Mountain, west of Zhaozhuang Reservoir, and about 2 kilometers east of the Ningxu Highway, it is a hilly mound-type site. The site stretches approximately 250 meters from north to south and about 200 meters from east to west, covering an area of about 50,000 square meters. The surface consists of yellow-gray soil mixed with red fired clay fragments, and artifacts are widely distributed. In the eastern part of the site, due to sand mining by the village, a cultural layer about 100 meters long has been exposed, with a thickness of around 1.5 meters. Below this are mostly natural yellow soil layers and sandy layers. From the cross-section, numerous artifact fragments can also be seen. The collected pottery shards include mainly sandy red-brown pottery and clay red pottery, with identifiable shapes such as tripods, dou (food vessels), bowls, jars, and decorated pottery stands. The site has also yielded stone axes, red sand pottery pestles, and pottery ?? (unidentified artifact). A moat was discovered in the cross-section of the site, about 4 meters deep, containing accumulated early-period artifacts. Research confirms that this site dates back over 8,000 years and is a Neolithic settlement.

The discovery of the Shunshanjii Site holds significant importance for the study of the Qingliangang Culture and the distribution of early human settlements in northern Jiangsu, especially the discovery of the moat, which provides valuable insights into the living environment of humans during the Neolithic period.
