Hongze Lake Wetland Museum

The Hongze Lake Wetland Museum is the first wetland museum in the province. Established in 2009, it covers an area of 70 acres. Its roof, exterior walls, floors, walkways, and other structures all utilize simulated ecological materials and eco-friendly technologies. The overall design integrates organically with the natural landscape of the wetland, forming a unified whole. The museum has a construction area of 2,300 square meters, of which the first floor is about 1,500 square meters, mainly showcasing the wetland’s unique natural resources, rare animal and plant specimens, the historical evolution of the wetland, important cultural relics unearthed in the Sihong area, and freshwater fish species of Hongze Lake.
