The Former Residence of Li Gengsheng is a cultural tourism attraction.

In the north courtyard of Huaiyin Middle School in the city center, there is an elegant and classic courtyard rich in ethnic characteristics — this is the former residence of Mr. Li Gengsheng, a great educator of the Republic of China. Although Mr. Gengsheng’s ideals of reforming education and revitalizing the nation have been realized, his patriotic spirit and dedication to innovation continue to inspire future generations.

To honor this courageous educator, with the approval of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, the Huaiyin Municipal Government restored Mr. Li Gengsheng’s former residence on the 60th anniversary of his passing. The former residence is divided into four sections, featuring blue bricks and gray tiles with flush gable walls and partitioned lattice windows. The main hall displays the trials and perseverance of Mr. Li Gengsheng throughout his teaching career. Display cases house the newly published *Commemorative Essays on Li Gengsheng* by Jiangsu Education Publishing House, which collects his legacy, achievements, and memorial writings—many of them heartfelt pieces by his disciples and accomplished children.
