The Xitang River Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.
The Xitang River Scenic Area is located in the South New District of Jianhu County. With a total investment of 380 million yuan, the scenic area lies along the Xitang River, the mother river of Jianhu, stretching 9.3 kilometers in length and covering a total green space area of 1,500 mu. Designed with the concept of creating a slow-paced urban environment, the area features colored asphalt bicycle lanes, paved pedestrian walkways, and connections to the new district’s slow traffic system. Landscaping, greening, paving, lighting, and revetment projects have been meticulously designed. Key attractions include the Dragon Boat Dock, Cherry Blossom Pond, Mist Forest Landscape, Meandering Stream, Xitang Rainbow, City Sunrise Terrace, and Pine Aroma Coffee House, all offering delightful experiences.
The construction of the Xitang River Scenic Area officially commenced in September 2013.
