Funing Zhenwu Temple Scenic Area

The Funing Zhenwu Temple Scenic Area is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Zhenwu Temple Scenic Area is located in the core area of the old town in Funing County, covering an area of 42.3 acres with a total investment of 150 million yuan. The scenic area consists of two major parts: Miao Wan Ancient City and Xingguo Temple. Construction began in December 2009, and the completion ceremony was held on June 22, 2011.

Miao Wan Ancient City is composed of the ancient city gate tower, county yamen, Confucius Hall, Que Jin Pavilion, Tongji Bridge, ancient streets, and more. It follows the Huizhou architectural style of the Ming and Qing dynasties, incorporating elements of Jiangnan garden architecture. With its white walls and black tiles, wooden doors and lattice windows, the structure is rigorous and classic in charm. The carved beams and painted rafters are rich in traditional style, while the wood carvings and scroll patterns exude a classical atmosphere.

Xingguo Temple currently covers an area of 16.23 acres. Following a unified plan, it retains the original three main halls and has newly built the Heavenly King Hall, Mahavira Hall, Guanyin Hall, Manjusri Hall, Samantabhadra Hall, Ksitigarbha Hall, scripture depository, Dharma hall, pagoda, as well as facilities such as the guest hall, dining hall, and monks' quarters.
