Shanghai Huaguoshan Baizao Garden is situated in Qingcun Town, Fengxian District, bordered by the A30 Expressway to the south and connected to Funan Highway to the north. Originally established as Shanghai Fenghe Specialty Fruit Industry Co., Ltd. in 1998, it was listed as a key municipal forestry project in Shanghai in 2000. The garden spans 750 acres with a total investment of 16.8 million yuan. It serves as a municipal-level research base integrating fruit tree introduction, breeding, production demonstration, technology promotion, and leisure tourism, and is Shanghai’s first municipal-level specialty small fruit variety base. In 2002, it was awarded the title of "National Specialty Seedling Base" by the State Forestry Administration, and the fresh jujubes produced that year were certified as "safe, hygienic, and high-quality agricultural products" by the Shanghai Agricultural Products Certification Center.

Fengxian Huaguoshan boasts lush fruit trees with fresh produce available all year round: loquats in May, nectarines and Daguan peaches in June, honey peaches, Lakeview Honeydew, Xinfeng Honeydew, Half-Jin peaches, yellow peaches, grapes, and Crystal pears in July and August, date jujubes and Golden Silk jujubes in September and October, winter jujubes, pomegranates, small square persimmons, large square persimmons, and Japanese sweet persimmons in October and November... Among them, jujube trees reign supreme. The garden dedicates 460 acres to jujube cultivation, featuring over 80 varieties that include more than 20 types of rare jujubes from across the country. Winter jujubes and date jujubes dominate, covering over 300 acres with an annual yield of more than 1,000 tons, truly earning the title "Shanghai's Kingdom of Hundred Jujubes."

Huaguoshan Baizao Garden makes full use of its diverse fruit tree and variety resources, complemented by well-developed tourism and leisure facilities. It has built multiple scenic spots and developed a series of sightseeing, leisure, and agricultural experience programs, now making it a popular destination for rural tourism in Fengxian. Ticket Prices: Student groups 8 RMB; adult groups (including individual visitors) 16 RMB; family group (one adult + one child) 30 RMB (adult 20 RMB, child 10 RMB, and so on)

Transportation Routes

Address: Weiji Village, Fengcheng Town, Fengxian District, Shanghai (west side of Hangtang Highway, north side of A4 Shen-Feng-Jin Expressway)

1. Puxi Area: (1) Take the Xinan Line or Xingshao Line from Xinzhuang Metro Station to Nanqiao. (2) Take the Nanmei Line from Shanghai Southwest Bus Station to Nanqiao. (3) From Jiading, Qingpu, or Songjiang, take a bus to Nanqiao, then transfer to the Nanliao Line to reach Baizao Garden.

2. Pudong & Punan Areas: (1) Buses from Shihua Bus Station, Jinshan Bus Station (Zhujing), or Nanhui Bus Station can take you to Nanqiao. (2) From Pudong New Area, take the Puwei Special Line (East Hospital – Shihua Bus Station or Bailianjing Station – Shihua Bus Station) or Bus 603 to Nanqiao Bus Station, then transfer to the Nanliao Line to reach Baizao Garden.

Self-Drive Directions: Inner Ring Elevated Road – Nanpu Bridge – Xinzhaolongyang Road – Hu’nan Highway – Hangtang Highway – Renbao Road – Huaguoshan Baizao Garden.
