Fengxian Rapeseed Flower Festival

On the second day of the second lunar month each year, young people from the Buyi, Shui, Zhuang, and Yi ethnic groups near Jiulong River gather in their finest attire to sing love songs and choose partners. The festival features uniquely styled dances such as weapon dances, lion dances, stilt dances, and wild man dances. By the third day of the third lunar month, there is a love song festival held at the Duoyi River Scenic Area, located 33 kilometers southeast of Luoping County. People from various ethnic groups in Yunnan, Guizhou, and Guangxi gather, creating a spectacular scene. After the Spring Festival each year, the Luoping Basin turns into a vast ocean of rapeseed flowers.
