Shanghai Urban Vegetable Garden is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a science education base.

Shanghai Urban Vegetable Garden is the first vegetable-themed park in China, located by the Hangzhou Bay in Haiwan Town, Fengxian District. The main visiting area covers 400 acres and includes five major exhibition venues: the Farming Expo Hall, Boya Farm, Fragrant Vegetable Garden, Exotic Melon & Vegetable Garden, and Four Seasons Orchard. There is also a leisure and entertainment area to the west of the park, featuring an ecological maze, aquatic vegetable area, grass football field, beach volleyball court, and kite-flying spots. Visitors can take an electric cart or rent a sightseeing bicycle to explore the garden, pick fresh vegetables, and enjoy the pleasure of returning to nature.

In the Urban Vegetable Garden, there are over 200 varieties of unique, high-quality vegetables. While personally planting, harvesting, picking, cooking, and tasting the vegetables, visitors can also learn about farming history and culture, vegetable culture, modern agricultural planting techniques, cultivation models, and agricultural product processing.

Relying on picturesque rural scenery and rich cultural landscapes, Shanghai Urban Vegetable Garden uses vegetables as its soul and green, natural, and healthy living as its foundation. With modern vegetable cultivation technologies and artistic presentation methods, it blends the charm of Jiangnan-style gardens—featuring small bridges, flowing water, and pavilions—to showcase the unique farming culture of the Jiangnan region and the natural beauty of vegetables. It is truly a comprehensive vegetable exposition venue.
