The Monument to the Martyrs of the Northern Song Dynasty serves as a patriotic education base.

The village was undergoing consolidation. In the early hours of the morning, over 1,000 Japanese and puppet troops from nearby strongholds, led by a traitor, surrounded the guerrilla base. With the sound of a sentry’s gunshot, the Battle of Northern Song Anti-Japanese Breakout officially began. Under the leadership of Comrade Zhu Yamin, the soldiers evacuated civilians while launching a full counterattack. However, due to being outnumbered, more than 20 soldiers sacrificed their lives, while the enemy suffered over 50 casualties. After an unsuccessful manhunt, the troops set fire to 107 civilian houses before retreating. From then on, the Japanese and puppet forces became wary of trusting traitors and refrained from launching large-scale sweeps. After the liberation, in order to educate future generations and commemorate the martyrs’ heroic deeds, in April 1964, the Fengxian County People’s Government erected the Anti-Japanese Martyrs Monument, designating it as a patriotic education base for Fengxian County. It underwent two renovations, in 1995 and 2006.

The village consists of 30 villager groups, with 1,334 households and a population of 3,288. It covers an area of 5 square kilometers, including 2,772 mu of arable land.
