Heilong Mountain Villa was established in 1995 as the first privately-owned tourism enterprise in Heihe. Covering an area of 180,000 square meters, it is located on the banks of the Heilongjiang River, 7 kilometers west of downtown Heihe, facing Blagoveshchensk, Russia, across the river—so close you can hear each other’s dogs barking.

The name of Heilong Mountain Villa comes from an ancient legend. This is the place where the kind and righteous “Little Black Dragon” healed and defeated the evil “Little White Dragon.” A large sculpture titled “Ode to the Black Dragon,” built along the riverside, has become the iconic landmark of the villa. The entire sculpture is majestic and vivid, depicting the black dragon soaring through the air in pursuit of a pearl, offering viewers an uplifting artistic experience that embodies the pursuit of a brighter future. It has been hailed by people from all walks of life as “the First Dragon by the Heilongjiang River.”

Heilong Mountain Villa boasts beautiful scenery and fresh air. In spring, with bright sunshine, green grass, and murmuring streams, it is a great spot for outings. In summer, shaded by lush trees, dotted with flowers, and cooled by river breezes, it serves as an ideal summer retreat. In autumn, with clear skies, colorful forests, and red leaves everywhere, it is a perfect destination for autumn excursions and moon viewing. In winter, when the land is blanketed in pristine white snow, it becomes the best place for snow appreciation and skiing. More than 1,000 square meters of exquisitely built European-style villas are scattered across the riverside, hillsides, and among the trees. Visitors wandering through will be deeply captivated by the artistic charm born from the fusion of Eurasian cultures. As a result, in recent years, it has become a well-known tourist destination in Heihe, frequented by domestic and international visitors for sightseeing, leisure vacations, group outings, and family or friends gatherings.

On this hillside lies the “Oroqen Primitive Tribe Cultural Park,” built to promote Oroqen culture. Here, you can see the most primitive form of Oroqen housing—the chum (also called xianrenzhu), as well as performances of their rituals, wedding customs, hunting, singing and dancing, games, and finely crafted fur and birch bark products. The Shaman Dance, representing the art of Oroqen shamanism, adds a mystical aura to this ethnic group, making you feel as if you’ve entered another world and sparking endless imagination. Here, you can also taste unique mountain flavors such as hand-held lamb and wild vegetables, as well as homemade wild fruit wine, which are so delightful they make it hard to leave. At night, the enchanting bonfire party allows you to sing and dance with Oroqen girls. The dancing figures illuminated by the firelight, accompanied by the aroma of meat roasting over the fire, offer a glimpse into the Oroqen people’s ruggedness, bravery, wisdom, and hospitality, leaving a deep and wonderful impression of this ethnic group.
