Qiqihar Sunshine Culture Park

Sunshine Culture Park, named after Sunshine Thermal Group, is one of the 14 parks planned and constructed in the central urban area of Qiqihar. It is located in the middle section of Xinli Street, on the north side of the former site of the Datian Group factory, covering an area of 138,000 square meters.

During the park’s construction, 21 interconnected factory buildings were demolished, with a total built-up area of 33,800 square meters. In Sunshine Culture Park, 59,120 new trees were planted, including spruce, Korean pine, Manchurian ash, mountain pear, lilac, red-twig dogwood, and honeysuckle. Approximately 6,600 existing trees (or shrubs) were pruned, 26,000 square meters of lawn were laid out, and more than 52,000 various flowers were planted. The park features sports and leisure equipment, wooden boardwalks, and a scenic railway, making it a great destination for citizens to exercise, entertain, and relax.
