Miaoshan Ecological Tourism Development Zone is nestled against mountains and water, picturesque and enchanting. The Miaoshan Mountain, stretching from east to west, features undulating peaks covered in lush greenery. The mountain is adorned with blooming flowers and filled with birdsong; ancient trees tower above the valleys, and springs trickle gently. Below the mountain, the Hulan River flows like a rainbow lying across the waves. Under the bright sun, the waters ripple and sparkle. In misty, rainy weather, the area takes on a mysterious atmosphere. Amidst the mountains, waters, and shaded groves, birds often take flight and foxes and rabbits roam, showcasing the harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. In 1987, Chen Lei, then Governor of Heilongjiang Province, visited Miaoshan and inscribed the words “When standing atop the peak, all other mountains seem small,” bestowing upon Miaoshan the beloved title of the “Little Mount Tai.”

The Miaoshan Ecological Tourism Development Zone in Weixing Town has a solid economic foundation. It has initially established a new economic development pattern featuring distinctive industries and ecological agriculture, serving as an important national production base for commodity grain, lean-type green pigs, poultry meat, and a leader in afforestation and greening. The Miaoshan Ecological Tourism Development Zone benefits from convenient transportation, with the Suian Highway running through its core, while key roads such as the Haiwang and Siwang Highways, along with an extensive network of rural roads, provide unique geographical advantages. The zone is rich in natural resources with enormous development potential. It contains 50,400 mu (approximately 3,360 hectares) of forest, achieving a forest coverage rate of 18%. Nearly 20,000 mu of barren hills, valleys, and slopes have been developed on 11,000 mu, where over ten types of fruit trees—including DJ, Taiping, Denglong, and grapes—have been planted, totaling more than 200,000 trees, yielding nearly 10 million jin of fruit annually. Within this region, there are 22 high-quality mineral springs with a daily flow of 900 tons. Along the Hulan River, there are both shallow and deep gravel beds, with sand and stone reserves of 8 million cubic meters. Beneath Miaoshan Mountain, bentonite reserves amount to 100,000 cubic meters. The Miaoshan Ecological Tourism Development Zone enjoys reliable guarantees for power supply, communication, and water supply. The project area is adjacent to the national power grid, ensuring ample electricity. Groundwater reserves are abundant and located at relatively shallow depths, allowing wells to be drilled for immediate use. Communication optical cables run bidirectionally in a rail-like formation, providing convenient access to mobile and Unicom services.
