The Wangkui Manchu Folk Culture Park is the only Manchu museum in the province and a representative destination for ethnic cultural tourism in our city. The development of the museum is a key component of building a culturally distinctive and strong county. By strengthening infrastructure and establishing cultural teams, Manchu culture has become a vibrant highlight in the county’s cultural development.

Covering an area of 12,000 square meters with a construction area of 3,618 square meters, the Wangkui Manchu Folk Culture Park had a total investment of 15 million yuan. The main exhibition hall is divided into six sections: the origin of the Manchu people, production, daily life, rituals, beliefs, and more. These are presented through text, images, and artifacts to showcase their historical features. The Life Exhibition Hall and the Production Exhibition Hall not only supplement the main hall’s displays in detail but also focus on depicting scenes of production and daily life. The Twelve Emperors Exhibition Hall mainly displays portraits, biographies of the twelve emperors of the Qing Dynasty, as well as cultural relics unearthed during the Qing era such as胆瓶 (vases), jade discs, and hat stands. The Manchu Historical and Cultural Corridor primarily showcases stories of the rise of the Manchu people and major battle scenes.

The establishment of the Manchu Folk Culture Park plays an extremely important role in exploring Manchu culture and ethnic customs, as well as promoting the development of ethnic culture. Each folk cultural relic in the collection presents a rich and colorful scroll of Manchu history; each vivid and magical story behind the relics depicts the colorful life and splendid culture created by the ancestors of the Manchu people with wisdom and sweat. The Wangkui Manchu Folk Culture Park will surely become a base for research on ethnic history and culture, education on ethnic unity and progress, and patriotic education, playing an active role in the construction of socialist political civilization, material civilization, spiritual civilization, and overall socialist development.

The Manchu Folk Culture Park features a traditional Chinese courtyard structure, with carved beams and painted rafters, upturned eaves, classic antique charm, and a grand atmosphere, all exuding a strong Manchu cultural essence. The main building, the Manchu Folk Culture Museum, covers 1,324 square meters and displays the historical features of the Manchu people through text, images, and artifacts, covering their origin, production, daily life, rituals, and beliefs. The Production Exhibition Hall and the Life Exhibition Hall each cover 168 square meters. In addition to complementing the main exhibition, they focus on presenting scenes of production and daily life. The Antique Shop spans 140 square meters and serves as a venue for trading Manchu clothing, decorations, paintings, calligraphy, and handicrafts. The Manchu Historical and Cultural Corridor covers 430 square meters, featuring portraits and biographies of the twelve Qing emperors, as well as cultural relics unearthed during the Qing era such as vases, jade discs, and hat stands. It also displays scenes of major battles and stories of the rise of the Manchu people.

Since its opening, the Wangkui Manchu Folk Culture Park, with its unique Manchu culture, has attracted visitors from all over, having received over 300,000 tourists to date. It has become an important window and base for the study of Manchu culture and ethnic folk tourism. The park generates an annual tourism profit of up to 8 million yuan, achieving both economic and social benefits.
