Cliff Ascend & Forget-Worry Scenic Area

The Cliff Ascend & Forget-Worry Scenic Area is located at the crescent of the crescent-shaped mountain peak in the front scenic area, at an altitude of 380 meters, and consists of six landscapes. Below Forget-Worry Cliff are Parrot Rock, Medicinal Spring, Old Camp, Horse-Drinking Spring, and Coiled Dragon Stone, while above the cliff is Lucky Stone. This scenic area centers around Old Camp.

Old Camp has long been a place for gathering mountain products, digging herbs, and resting for visitors. About 50 meters down the stone steps from Old Camp, Parrot Rock lies to the right of the path and Medicinal Spring to the left. This medicinal spring never dries up all year round, offering cool and refreshing water. Climbing about 30 meters upward from Old Camp leads to the peak of Forget-Worry Cliff, where Lucky Stone can be seen upon arrival. Meanwhile, walking 40 meters forward along the stone steps from Old Camp, you’ll find a spring on the left side of the path, beside which lies a naturally formed flat stone basin—thus named “Horse-Drinking Spring.”

Continuing another 20 meters forward, on the right side of the path is the “Coiled Dragon Stone.” This stone is about 2 meters high and covers an area of approximately 10 square meters. About 1 meter away from the stone grows a large oak tree, whose trunk bends toward the rock. The lower part of the trunk runs parallel to the upper section of the large stone, adhering to the stone surface as it curves and extends. Several branches grow straight upward from the horizontally growing trunk, making the tree trunk resemble a dragon coiled around the rock, and the branches like an open umbrella—hence the name “Coiled Dragon Stone.” The most spectacular part of this scenic area is Forget-Worry Cliff. From atop, visitors can take in both distant and nearby views. Looking around, distant peaks rise layer upon layer amid swirling clouds and mist; closer peaks stand densely, with green pines showing their vibrant hues; and at one’s feet, forest waves surge. Especially picturesque is the Yongcui River, which resembles a jade ribbon drifting from afar, or like a white trim inlaid along the edge of the Immortal Elder Mountain Scenic Area.
