Biyuan Lake Ecotourism Resort

Biyuan Lake Ecotourism Resort is located in Nancha District, Yichun City. It lies at the southern foot of the Lesser Khingan Mountains, downstream of the Daliusu River, a tributary of the Tangwang River. The resort is 3 kilometers from Nancha District, and its planned development area covers 8 square kilometers.

Biyuan Lake Ecotourism Area was planned and developed based on the water surface of the Nancha District water supply reservoir. The dam of the reservoir is 810 meters long, with a crest elevation of 177.5 meters and an average height of 8 meters. The reservoir’s water surface spans approximately 800 meters in width and about 1,750 meters in length. There are five seasonal marsh water systems within the resort. The vegetation mainly consists of three types: forest vegetation, primarily featuring deciduous trees such as larch, Scots pine, Korean pine, oak, and basswood, as well as shrubs like hazel, maple, willow, and goat willow; surface vegetation, mainly including small-leaved sweetgrass, tussock grass, sedge, and wormwood; and farmland vegetation, predominantly corn, soybeans, and vegetables. Wildlife includes sparrows, tree sparrows, pheasants, swallows, grey cranes, white cranes, magpies, grey squirrels, hares, squirrels, wild ducks, hazel grouse, and larks. With its broad lake surface, abundant streams, and widespread forests and grasslands, the area is free from any pollution sources, offering clean and fresh air—ideal for healthy recreation and leisure vacations. The expansive lake also provides a great setting for winter activities such as ice skating and ice sculpture displays.
