The section of the Tangwang River used for rafting is situated in Tangwanghe District, Yichun, part of the Little Kunlun Mountain Range within the Lesser Khingan Mountains. The river water is clear, with a brisk but not violent flow, featuring delicate ripples on the surface and mirrored tree silhouettes along the banks—a scene of bright, peaceful northern beauty. The Tangwang River is a mountain stream that originates from the towering mountains on the southern slopes of the Lesser Khingan Mountains. It flows from north to south, passing through more than ten towns in Yichun before joining the Songhua River at Tangyuan. Because of this, the locals also call the Tangwang River their “mother river.”
