Introduction Jiejinkou is situated in Tongjiang County along the lower reaches of the Heilongjiang River, approximately 45 kilometers northeast of downtown Tongjiang. As a Hezhe poet once wrote, “Jiejinkou, Jiejin Mountain, surrounded by peaks on three sides and a bay of water — a place of exceptional natural beauty and talented people, no less than a little Jiangnan in the north.” It is home to the Hezhe ethnic group, where visitors can step into local homes and experience the unique fishing-based culture of the Hezhe people. Located on the China-Russia border along the Heilongjiang River, Jiejinkou is a picturesque mountain village that faces Russia across the river. It is the settlement area of the Hezhe people, one of the “six smaller” ethnic groups in China’s diverse ethnic family. With its beautiful mountains and clear waters, as well as its stunning natural, cultural, and historical landscapes, Jiejinkou has laid a solid foundation for the development of tourism.
