Jiejingshan National Forest Park is located 45 kilometers northeast of Tongjiang City, within the territory of Jiejinkou Hezhe Ethnic Township. Jiejingshan is part of the low mountain range extending from the Wandashan Mountains, featuring lush vegetation, graceful contours, and the accompaniment of the river. From afar, it presents a beautiful and picturesque landscape. The Heilongjiang River has been eroding the rocks along its banks year after year, sculpting numerous scenic resources, forming steep cliffs with deep and fast-flowing waters, as well as shallow shoals where fish and shrimp thrive. Within the forest park area, the main water bodies include the Heilongjiang River, Lianhua River, Deriqi River, Toudao River, and Erdao River, earning it the reputation of “Three Waters Encircling Jiejing.” The Heilongjiang River is the border river between China and Russia. It flows along the northern side of Jiejingshan through the national forest park for 25 kilometers, with an average depth of 4–8 meters, reaching up to 17 meters at its deepest point. The average flow rate is 0.85 meters per second. The water is clear and unpolluted, with abundant fish resources.

The Jiejingshan Forest Park boasts extremely rich tourism resources, showcasing the typical scenery of the cold mountainous regions of the north. The majestic mountains, dense forests, upright peaks, open valleys, rapid waters, and clear rivers create an environment that is sparsely populated and pristine. In summer, under bright sunshine, the green mountains and waters create an elegant, tranquil, and refreshing environment, making it a prime destination for convalescence and summer retreats. In winter, the landscape is blanketed in ice and snow, presenting the unique charm of the northern scenery—a great spot for ice-skating and snow appreciation. The area features captivating historical sites and natural landscapes, such as the Immortal Cave, Elderly Stone, Primeval Forest, Hancong Valley, Rugged Rock Slope, and Grotesque Grove—truly must-see attractions for all visitors.
