The Lotus Peak Tourist Resort is located in Lianhua Town, Linkou County, 70 kilometers from Linkou County town. It consists of two parts: the Lotus Pond Scenic Area and Lianhua Temple. The resort features forests, lakes, peculiar peaks, and strange rocks, including a thousand-year-old elm tree, Lotus Pond, Goblin Pond, Lotus Basin, Couple’s Basin, Heaven’s Crack, Reclining Buddha Rock, Piggy Peeping at Spring, Lion Playing with Monkey, Character Rock, Sky-Gazing Ridge, Water Corridor, Lianhua Temple, and other unique and magnificent natural landscapes. Among them, the ancient plank walkway in Lotus Pond is the only cliff-hanging corridor in the province. In late summer and early autumn, the waters of Lotus Pond are crystal clear, with lotus flowers blooming peacefully on the surface, filling the air with fragrance. Legend has it that the Seven Fairies once bathed here during their visit to the mortal world, leaving behind a colorful handkerchief that transformed into the Lotus Pond. This scenic area was rated as a National AAA-level tourist attraction in 2007.

The Mudan River flows through the town, providing abundant water resources and fertile soil, making it suitable for growing cash crops such as flue-cured tobacco and soybeans. The town has a total of 9 villages and settlements, with a population of 12,030.
