The Shuanguang River is surrounded by high mountains, dense forests, crisscrossing waterways, pristine scenery, and rising mist. Its waters are crystal clear, sweet, and completely unpolluted. The river boasts abundant flow, with sections that are both rapid and calm. Lush green mountains line its banks, complemented by willows and blooming flowers, creating picturesque views. It is the perfect destination for rafting, adventure, flower viewing, sightseeing, leisure, and summer escape. This area has been rated as a national forest park and a national wildlife nature reserve. The total area of the region is 13.693 square kilometers, with a forest coverage rate of 89.6%. It is rich in mountain resources such as timber, stone, and medicinal herbs. Within the area lies an untouched virgin forest spanning over 20 hectares, home to a thousand-year-old Korean pine tree worshipped as a sacred tree by locals. Many visitors come here to pray and make wishes, which are often said to come true. The scenic area also features two spiritual springs that never freeze throughout the year. Locals call them the Dragon and Phoenix Springs. It is believed that drinking the spring water can prolong life, washing one’s face with it can beautify and whiten the skin, and bathing in it can strengthen the body. The Shuanguang River within the area stretches 50 kilometers in total, with a 9-kilometer section designated for rafting. The river section has a drop of 41 meters. The rafting starting point is 46 kilometers from the Harbin–Tongjiang Expressway and 246 kilometers from Harbin.

Shuanguang River Rafting takes advantage of the river’s unique terrain with significant elevation drops, allowing rafters to glide downstream without paddling. The fast currents, swirling rapids, and thrilling steel slides provide an exhilarating experience. Of particular note are the stunning natural landscapes along the riverbanks, which are like poetry and painting—featuring sights such as the “Heavenly Dog Watching the Moon,” “Camel Peak,” “Lion Roar Rock,” “Rhinoceros Stone,” the historically rich “Secret Camp Peak,” “City Wall Cliff,” and “Shelter Cliff.” While rafting, you’ll pass through stretches lined with shady trees, then areas blooming with wildflowers, and then towering cliffs, making you feel as if you’re sailing through the Three Gorges. It allows you to become one with nature, immersing yourself in its embrace and leaving you enchanted and eager to return.
