Huma River Nature Reserve has been approved as a provincial-level nature reserve in Heilongjiang Province. In the Oroqen language, it means “a place where deer often roam,” and in the Daur language, it refers to “a fast-flowing river in high mountain gorges without sunlight.” Within our county, the river stretches 150 kilometers—clear, clean, and unpolluted—with an average width of 190 meters and a depth of 1.2 meters, making it suitable for activities such as rafting and fishing. Tourists can ride specially designed rafts downstream, enjoying the pristine and rustic scenery on both banks while experiencing the joy of returning to nature. The occasional rapids, dangerous shoals, and steep cliffs also bring a thrilling sense of adventure. At the same time, visitors can fully enjoy the serene and carefree feeling of leisurely drifting along the river, immersed in a romantic, free-spirited, and nature-close atmosphere.

Ancient Post Stations: In April 1686 (the 24th year of the Kangxi reign), when the troops in Aihui were preparing to suppress the Yaksa region, Emperor Kangxi ordered Ming’ai, Vice Minister of the Lifan Yuan, to establish a postal route between Mergen (now Nenjiang) and Yaksa (now the opposite bank of the ancient city island in Xing’an Township, Mohe County) to quickly report military intelligence. Starting from Mergen to Yaksa, 25 post stations were set up in sequence to handle the delivery of military messages. Within our county, there are six stations: the 18th Station (Tanbao Mountain Station), the 19th Station (Yishaxi Station), the 20th Station (Yixikeng Station), the 21st Station (Bulage Station / Zhenglu Station), the 22nd Station (Wolu Station), and the 23rd Station (Pangu Station / now Yanjiang). Currently, the 18th, 19th, 22nd, and 23rd Stations (Yanjiang) have formed villages, while the others have been abandoned. Tayuan Yong’an Central Nursery: Established in March 1968 and gradually expanded until the end of 1992, it covers an operational area of 1,100 acres and produces 50 million seedlings annually, supplying a certain amount to other counties, districts, and bureaus. It serves as a garden landscape attraction.
