The "Peach Blossom Spring" written by Tao Yuanming, a great poet of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, uses positive romanticism to depict an idyllic vision of a society with "lush grass and falling petals." It is clear that Tao’s "Peach Spring" could only exist on paper, and people’s longing for it could only remain in dreams. In fact, in the far north of our country, in the beautiful and fertile Huma County, by the surging Heilongjiang River, there is a place more beautiful and more real than the "Peach Spring"—the Taoyuan Peak Scenic Area in Huma County.

"Taoyuan Peak" is the name of Heilongjiang Kuanhe Taoyuan Peak Hydropower Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as Taoyuan Peak Hydropower Station). This name is indeed very beautiful and very appealing. Speaking of "Taoyuan Peak," locals in Huma proudly say that the word "Taoyuan" naturally comes from the "Land of Peach Blossoms" due to the unique geographical location and beautiful natural environment of the hydropower station; the original meaning of "peak" is "mountaintop," but here we use its extended meaning—referring to the "highest point" or "zenith"—symbolizing the hydropower station’s "abundant water storage and sufficient electricity." One can’t help but marvel at the talent and spirit of the people in Huma County, who were able to give such a pure and poetic name to a small hydropower station, and even more so at how everything here truly lives up to its name.

The Taoyuan Peak Hydropower Station is located within the territory of Sanka Township, Huma County, on the lower reaches of the Kuanhe River, a right-bank tributary of the upper Heilongjiang River. It is less than 10 kilometers from the China-Russia border river—the Heilongjiang River, 20 kilometers from Duliukou, known as the "No.1 Bay Under Heaven," and 90 kilometers from Huma County. It is the northernmost hydropower station in China. In this sense, the location of the Taoyuan Peak Hydropower Station is truly at the remote northern edge, truly situated in a "Land of Peach Blossoms."
