The Birch Tree Red Tourism Area is located 40 kilometers northeast of Huadian City, within the territories of Hualinzi Township and Changshan Town. It is 52 kilometers from Jilin City and forms an important section of the Songhua Lake National AAAA-level Scenic Area. The area boasts a long history of cultural heritage, including the mysterious ruins of a 3,000-year-old Goguryeo ancient city. During the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty, the century-old temple site of Shanlin Temple, built by the renowned historical figure Han Bianwai in the Guandong region, is intriguing, and the battle site of Mudan Peak leaves a lasting legacy. The area enjoys convenient transportation with well-connected access. With its beautiful mountains and clear waters, the scenery is picturesque, and the scenic zone houses numerous remnants of the Anti-Japanese United Army, including the famous battle sites of Ant Ridge and Mudan Peak.
