The Haozihu Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army Camp is a Jilin Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit and a classic red tourism destination.

The Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army Haozihu Secret Camp, also known as the "Yang Jingyu Secret Camp," "Haozihu Secret Camp," or "Nangangtou Secret Camp," is located at the 23.6-kilometer point of the Hong (Hongshi Forestry Bureau)–Bai (Baishan Power Station) tourist route in the Hongshi National Forest Park. It was the secret camp of General Yang Jingyu, Commander-in-Chief of the First Route Army of the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army, where he lived and fought from 1935 to 1940. The green mountains are honored to cradle the loyal bones, and the heroic spirit inspires generations to come. Under extremely harsh conditions, anti-Japanese heroes such as Yang Jingyu, Wei Zhengmin, Cao Guo’an, Han Renhe, and Guo Chishan of the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army fearlessly waged battle, striking terror into the hearts of the enemy. Despite tremendous adversity, they chose death over surrender, held high the banner of the nation, and built an immortal monument for the liberation of the people of Northeast China and the Chinese nation. The footprints of the heroes covered every corner of these mountains and rivers; the names of the heroes echoed across the Songhua River; the blood of the heroes invigorated this ancient, lush land. The Yang Jingyu Secret Camp is an important historical battlefield and cluster of secret camps of the First Route Army of the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army in Jilin Province, covering an area of 255 hectares. It consists of important historical sites including barracks, the Qingsong Kitchen, a millstone, a well, a millhouse, grain storage, a horse-watering pool, an armory, a uniform factory, and the headquarters. After careful restoration, some of the sites have been returned to their original historical appearance and form one of the red tourism scenic areas of the Hongshi National Forest Park. On September 2, 2015, the "Haozihu Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army Secret Camp Memorial Hall," which took two years to build, officially opened to the public. The memorial covers an area of 3,000 square meters, with a construction area of 712 square meters. Its "mountain"-shaped exterior design incorporates elements of Dongbei Guandong culture, featuring white walls and black tiles in a clean and elegant color scheme. The main structure is supported by fourteen sky-reaching pillars, symbolizing the indomitable heroism of anti-Japanese stalwarts like Yang Jingyu and Wei Zhengmin, as well as the national spirit of fourteen years of arduous struggle to defend dignity and resist the Japanese invaders. The first step group at the entrance of the memorial square consists of three steps, the second of five—symbolizing the 35 years of General Yang Jingyu’s glorious combat life. The width of the steps on both sides is seven meters each, representing the July 7th Lugou Bridge Incident that marked the beginning of China’s full-scale resistance against Japan. The eight-meter-wide relief mural of the United Army, made of white marble and located in the center, signifies the eight-year hardships of the Chinese military and civilians during the war of resistance.

The Haozihu Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army Secret Camp is now recognized as: a Jilin Provincial Party History and Education Research Base, a Jilin Provincial Ecological Civilization Education Base, a Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit, a Jilin Municipal Patriotic Education Base, and a Party Spirit Training and Education Base of the Jilin Municipal Party School of the CPC Jilin Committee. In April 2016, it was further honored as a Jilin Provincial Party Spirit Education Field Teaching Base.
