Aoniu Mountain

Aoniu Mountain is located in Meiyao Township, Taonan, belonging to the extension of the Greater Khingan Mountains and serving as the boundary mountain between the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Jilin Province. The area features 33 peaks, with the highest elevation at 661.4 meters. The rolling mountains stretch out in a spectacular panorama. There are three key scenic spots in the area: The first is the First Enclosed Mountain Area, situated on the sunny slope of the Aoniu Mountain range. Here, three peaks spread out in a semi-circle facing south, boasting the best forest vegetation and serving as the entrance to the Aoniu Mountain Scenic Area. The second is the Gaolianggou Scenic Spot, where the peak of Gaolianggou is the highest point of Aoniu Mountain, best showcasing the mountain’s distinctive features, offering a direct path to the summit with panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. The third is the Laoyaozi Mountain Scenic Spot.
